A one-month project
The Cash and Levers Diagnostic
One month. A written deliverable, whether or not you hire us for anything else.
It's a complete piece of work with its own deliverables. It starts with your cash, ties your financial statements together, and puts a dollar value on each lever in your business. It also shows whether a monthly engagement is worth it.
What it answers
- Where did the cash go, and can I pay my bills?
- Your next 13 weeks of cash, and where you stand with the bank.
- Which fixes are worth the most?
- Each lever in your business valued in dollars, ranked, with a 90-day plan to go get them.
What you keep at the end of the month
Four parts, each with numbers attached.
1. Cash
A 13-week cash forecast built from your ledger: receipts and payments by week, the lowest cash point, the ten largest movements, three downside scenarios, and headroom on your covenants and borrowing base. Try a working version.
2. Statements
Your income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement for 24 months, tied together, with a bridge from profit to operating cash flow that shows where profit turned into cash and where it didn't.
3. Levers
Each lever valued in dollars from your own numbers: margin by customer and product across at least 80% of revenue, days to collect, inventory turns, days to pay vendors, and pricing. Ranked, with yearly profit and one-time cash kept separate.
4. Operational changes
For the top three levers, the process behind each one (collections, purchasing, pricing approvals), who owns it today, and what has to change.
Added when you name an operating problem on the first call.
It ends with a plan. A 90-day plan with an owner, a date, and a dollar target on every initiative, and a working session with your leadership team.
Need help with meetings, owner dependence, or vendors instead? Those are scoped as fixed-fee projects.
How the value gets calculated
The value comes from your numbers.
No return gets quoted before the books are reviewed. We calculate collecting five days faster, carrying less inventory, or adding a point of margin from your own statements and sales history. You see the math and decide which fixes are worth making.
The two-week exit
At the two-week mark, you can stop for any reason. You pay for the first two weeks only, owe nothing further, and keep whatever work is complete.
- What we need from you
- 24 months of financials, your bank agreement and latest compliance certificate, access to your ERP or accounting system, and 4 to 5 conversations with your people. An NDA is signed first.
- What you get at the end
- The written findings report, the models themselves, and a working session with you and your leadership team.
About the diagnostic
Questions before you start
Because it's a finished piece of work. You leave that month with models and a plan your team can run without us, which is worth paying for on its own terms. And if it isn't working, the two-week exit means you're never committed to more than half.
No. Everything built with your data is yours to keep, whether or not we work together again.
We fix that first. Cleanup is scoped separately, done by an accounting partner or by us when the work is labor-heavy, and the diagnostic starts once the numbers are clean.
